Stop selling products. Start rewriting the stories that run your customers’ subconscious minds—and your own.
Let’s cut through the noise for a second.
We live in a world where we are bombarded by over 10,000 marketing messages a day. Your customers are overwhelmed, anxious, and skeptical. They have built walls around their attention spans so high that most of your advertising doesn’t even register.
But why do we remember movies? Why can we recall the plot of The Lion King or the tension in The Dark Knight years later? Why do we stay glued to our seats, forgetting to check our phones?
The answer isn’t just entertainment. It is reprogramming.
Your customers don’t buy products. They buy the story they see themselves in.
Here is the hard truth: The conscious mind buys the product, but the subconscious mind buys the story. If you talk about features, prices, and logistics, you are speaking to the logical brain—the part that argues, compares, and says “too expensive.”
But when you tell a story, you bypass that conscious gatekeeper and plant a belief directly into the subconscious.
Long before we learned to read, write, or build businesses, our ancestors survived by sharing stories. Stories helped us recognize danger, build trust, and create meaning. Your subconscious mind still responds to stories today in exactly the same way. Facts educate people, and statistics impress people, but stories move people.
At WitsValley, we teach that if you want to change your life, your business, or your income, you must first change the stories stored inside your subconscious mind. Because every belief you have is simply a story your mind accepted as truth.
If you believe “I’m not good enough,” “Success is for other people,” or “Making money is difficult”—those are not facts. They are just stories repeated until your subconscious accepted them as reality.
The good news? Stories can also rewrite your future.
Hollywood has mastered a storytelling formula that creates blockbuster movies. I have repurposed this exact structure into a business strategy. When you apply this, you aren’t just selling; you are leading a movement.
Here are the six parts of the formula that will rewire your customer’s mind to choose you every single time.
1. Identify the Hero (And It’s Not You)

This is the most common mistake in business. We put our logo on the homepage and say, “Look at us! We are awesome!”
The Subconscious Shift: The brain is wired for self-preservation. It only cares about the person in the mirror. People don’t wake up thinking about your business; they wake up thinking about their own dreams, fears, and problems.
The Fix: The hero of your story is never you. It is your customer. You must reframe your entire narrative so that your customer sees themselves as the protagonist. When they realize they are the star, their subconscious pays attention.
2. Define the Mission
What is your hero chasing? What keeps them up at night? What is the “treasure” they are seeking?
The Subconscious Shift: The Reticular Activating System (RAS) in the brain filters out irrelevant data. Without a clear mission, your customer’s brain filters you out. Most people think they want money; in reality, they want what money represents—freedom, security, choices, and peace.
The Fix: Name the mission clearly. Are they chasing freedom? Safety? Status? Time? If you don’t know what they are chasing, you can’t help them catch it.
3. Introduce the Villain
Something is in the way. Every great movie has a villain. In business, the villain isn’t always your competitor.
The Subconscious Shift: The brain is a problem-solving machine. To activate it, you must create tension. Without an obstacle, there is no drama—and without drama, there is no transformation.
The Fix: Name the obstacle. Is it inefficiency? Fear? The “way we’ve always done it”? For many, the greatest villain is hidden inside the subconscious mind: limiting beliefs, fear of failure, self-doubt, and old negative programming. You cannot defeat an enemy you cannot see. When you identify the villain, you give your customer permission to fight alongside you.
4. Step Up as The Guide (The Mentor)

This is where you enter the story. But you are not the hero; you are Yoda. You are Morpheus. You are the enabler who provides the tools.
The Subconscious Shift: People don’t trust the hero; they trust the expert who has already conquered the mountain. The guide doesn’t fight the battle; the guide simply provides wisdom, clarity, and a proven path.
The Fix: Stop saying, “We are the best.” Start saying, “I have the map, and I will show you the way.” Your job is to give them the weapon (your product or system) to defeat the villain.
5. The Journey (The 3 Steps)
A story isn’t a straight line. It has rising and falling tension. Transformation never happens in one step; it happens through a process.
The Subconscious Shift: The mind craves structure. It craves a path. If the path is clear, fear dissipates. The subconscious mind changes through repetition, emotion, and consistent practice.
The Fix: Lay out the three clear steps. At WitsValley, we call this the Mind Reprogramming System:
- Step 1: Awareness. Recognizing the old, limiting story.
- Step 2: Understanding. Learning how the mind works.
- Step 3: Mastery. Consistent daily reprogramming through visualization, affirmations, and intentional habit formation.
Show them the journey so they know the destination is real.
6. The Resolution (The Higher Purpose)
This is the final piece of the puzzle. It’s not just the happy ending where the hero gets the girl or the money. It’s the higher purpose.
The Subconscious Shift: Humans are wired for meaning. We will pay a premium for a brand that stands for something bigger than the transaction. The best brands don’t simply sell products; they stand for something meaningful.
The Fix: Why does your brand exist? If you disappeared tomorrow, what would the world lose? At WitsValley, our vision extends beyond personal success. We believe that when one mind transforms, a family changes. When families change, communities grow stronger. When you connect your product to a higher purpose, you transform a transaction into a legacy.
The Call to Action: Rewire Your Brain and Your Brand
So, here is the harsh truth. If you aren’t using this formula, you are leaving money on the table and losing to someone who is.
Your customers’ subconscious minds are already being programmed by Netflix, TikTok, and Instagram. They are being trained to expect tension, release, and a hero’s journey. If your business feels boring, they swipe away.
But this goes deeper than marketing. Your life is already a story. The question is: Who wrote it? Was it written by fear? By childhood experiences? By society? Or are you now choosing to rewrite it intentionally?
The most successful people in the world are not simply working harder. They are operating from different subconscious programming. Change the programming. Change the decisions. Change the habits. Change the results. Change the life.
Today, I am asking you to audit your current marketing and your current mindset.
- Who is the hero?
- What is the mission?
- What is the villain holding you (or your customer) back?
If you can’t answer these six questions in the next 10 minutes, your story is broken.
Take a screenshot of this post or save it. Go back and re-write your “About Us” page using this formula. Watch how your engagement changes.
And if this message resonated with you, share it.
Share it because there is someone in your network who is struggling to connect with their audience. Share it because there is someone carrying an old story that is limiting their potential. Your share could be the message that helps them begin writing a new chapter.
Let’s stop selling. Let’s start reprogramming. Together, let’s build a world where people are empowered by possibility instead of limited by subconscious programming.
