True Healing

True healing starts from deep within ourselves and yet we spend most of our life looking for fulfillment outside of ourselves.

Don’t be deceived, True healing is not a pain free experience, it is uncomfortable, painful and sometimes you just want to give up!

Incorporate True Healing into Your Life

I promise you, the reward for those who are patient enough to endure the process, it is worth the wait. I will give you an example for anyone who has ever gotten a physical wound on your body.

The methods used for healing a simple cut are not the same with those applied to a deeper cut. A band aid may be all you need for a small cut and the wound heals itself but to a deeper cut, if you only cover the top with band aid without healing the wound inside, it will fester and form pus and it will dig deeper into your skin.

To heal a deeper cut you will need to cleanse the wound everyday and apply healing cream or herbs, whatever method applies to you.

I learnt this lesson while taking care of a friend who got a second degree burn; her entire arm was burnt by cooking oil.

The healing process took some time; I would cleanse the wound everyday with saline water before applying aloevera gel. It was painful for her and she always hoped I forgot our cleaning appointments in the beginning until she started seeing a change then she would be the one reminding me.

The Emotional True healing

When we talk about emotional healing, it means going deep within ourselves and healing the inner child, but for that to happen you have to be honest with yourself, you will have to learn to take responsibilities for your actions, to become self aware, you will have to learn to accept change however uncomfortable it might be, you will have to be true to yourself and stop seeking validation outside of yourself.

Look deep within yourself, accept yourself of who you are! Don’t try to be something you are not, acknowledge your wrong doings and take responsibility for how your actions might have influenced the situation you are in today, if you keep playing the victim card in every situation, then you will never learn from your mistakes and you will keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

True growth comes from learning from our mistakes and becoming better versions of ourselves and for that to happen you have to learn that you are responsible for your own actions.

You have to face yourself, both the good aspects and the bad aspects of you, accept your mistakes, forgive yourself and let go of the past for it no longer exists and it is not who you are now. Forgive yourself and accept that you cannot change what happened in the past and so dwelling on it, is not in your best interest.

Learn from your past mistakes to make better decisions in your present. Forgive those who have wronged you, forgive and let go! All of this is part of the healing process and like I said it’s not an easy quick fix, it is a process. During my meditation classes, I always tell my students that you can choose to forgive one person at a time and the feedback I always get is a weight was lifted off their chests.

Life is a journey and the more baggage you carry the less enjoyable your journey will be.

Let go of emotions that no longer serve your greater purpose, don’t hold unto unnecessary grudge for it will only hold you down and sometimes the people you hold grudges against, don’t even know.

Free your spirit from the emotional baggage you are holding unto, even if it means dropping one baggage at a time.

True healing is not an easy fix, fixing your external features will not guarantee you the satisfaction you are looking for, it is a temporary fix, you have to heal your insecurities by looking deep within yourself and asking yourself why you are insecure about something?

Were you always like that? Was it something you learnt along the way? What triggers your insecurity? Did someone in your life make a remark that stuck with you all these years? While answering, be honest and true to yourself.

Once you know the cause then it will be easy to treat the problem.

Now let me hope this information is enough for you to start on your healing journey, for those who might need extra help, I do host classes both online and physically. Just let me know if you would like to take part and I will keep you updated.

Remember to be patient with yourself, healing takes time and patience. Don’t be too hard on yourself, love and appreciate yourself and above all put your trust in the infinite spirit and shall direct your path.
