Essential Life Lessons: What should you know before turning 25 years old?

- Be there for yourself. Take care of yourself, stand up for yourself.
- Be yourself. Don’t try to change your personality in order to fit in. The status that you earn is easily lost. It doesn’t matter where you think it’s going to lead you, as long as you are not yourself, you will be unhappy.
- Let change happen. Change is going to happen a lot in your life. Life really is an experiment; it takes you along a great stroll. There isn’t “a you made” it sign at the end of it (also no end). So, stay adaptable.
- Health is wealth.
- Life isn’t a competition. It doesn’t matter who gets anywhere first even when it seems like it.
- From now on you should be realizing how short life is… so make use of it.
- Keep a bit of a childish perspective with you. It will keep you happy.
- Not every friendship is going to make the cut to adulthood, which isn’t a bad thing.
- Keep moving forward no matter what. At times it will seem like it’s not worth it but you will live on to remember that it always was!
Some daily good habits to practice.

- Always start your day by making your bed. It will give you a sense of accomplishment and motivate you to finish another one of your work.
- Don’t use your mobile as the first thing after waking up. Just get up, sit and smile for about 15 seconds. You want to start your day with endorphins which are released when you smile.
- Don’t contribute time to the things that don’t benefit your goals. I am not saying that never use your phones, but know what your goals that you have to achieve and how passionate you are for it.
- Make a mental note of what you have to throughout the day so that your day is organized. I am a student and I actually write in a diary very briefly the topics I have to cover throughout the day.
- Never compromise your sleep. 8 hours daily. You will be able to function at your best if your body is at its best too.
- Make a positive routine and stick to it.
- Celebrate your little accomplishments as they are going to add up in the big picture itself.
- Get out of your comfort zone. If you are in your comfort zone, you won’t ever have the need to get out of the rut-race and get things going.
- Don’t first think about what you want to achieve in a year. First take one step at a time. Achieve today’s goals.
- Be grateful for all the things you have that you wished yesterday you had. Don’t take anything for granted.
Some mind-blowing thoughts.

- Keep your relationship private, not secret. There’s a difference.
- “You are so quiet”- No, I talk, just not to you.
- Stay single until you are appreciated.
- If I spend money on you, it’s not because I got it like that, but I got you like that.
- A Right person will love you without questioning about your past. Seek for that special person.
- You should be working on 2 things right now: 1. The inside of your heart. 2. The inside of your pocket.
- Do right to me, and I will go all out for you.
- I think it’s important to realize that no matter how good you are to people, it won’t make them good to you.
- Concerts are where you realize just how beautiful it is to be alive in this world.
- Body wants sex. Heart wants love. Soul needs peace.
- I’m just supposed to enjoy good things that happen to me instead of living in fear that they will turn to dust in my hands.
- A single conversation with a wise man is better than years of study.
